Our Values

The values outlined below represent everything about what Rigorous Digital is as a company. They govern our thinking and clarify who we are and how we work. The values below can and should apply to everything we do, and make our expectations in any given circumstance clear.

Fair

Fairness is defined as “impartial and just treatment or behaviour without favouritism or discrimination.” We expect fairness in the way we work and the way we treat others. Fairness is about accepting where we’re at fault and rectifying it. It’s about taking everything into account before rushing to a decision or position. Fairness also goes both ways; our customers, partners, and suppliers can expect it of us and we, in turn, should expect it of them.

Helpful

In all our interactions, we should strive to be as helpful as possible. Being helpful is about being kind, friendly and considerate. It’s about not being obstructive when a client wishes to move, asking “is there anything else I can do for you?” when  we’ve resolved an issue and going out of our way to make sure we’re doing all that we can.

Knowledgeable

Our work is often technical in nature and requires a certain level of expertise. We strive to understand the problem and that requires us to have both broad and very specific knowledge. Our customers and partners expect us to be able to answer their issues authoritatively or, at the very least, have the capability to find the answer.

Fun

Without fun, there is little point in pursuing our work. Fun is about getting out of bed in the morning looking forward to the working day. It’s what makes the stories we remember. Fun is infectious; in turn, we get to share this sense of amusement in our work with our customers.

Honest

We believe in being open, honest and transparent with others. It’s about owning up to mistakes, sharing our understanding with anyone it might benefit and telling the truth, where that doesn’t undermine our core values.

Efficient

Efficiency means doing the most good for the least amount of resources possible. Efficiency saves our customers money while increasing the good we do for them. It multiplies our output exponentially. It makes us quicker and smarter. We strive to be efficient in our communication, work, and processes.

Plain Speaking

We believe it is important that our customers understand what they are agreeing to and where their money is going rather than overwhelming them with jargon. That is why we will always strive to use plain language to explain the work involved and the results.
